The Q-Series provides 5-axis high-speed trimming of complex composite, thermoformed plastic, foam board, wood, aluminum, carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other advanced materials. It offers a large work volume for machining molds, prototypes, and complex composite or thermoformed plastic parts and is most often used in industries such as aerospace, transportation, defense, marine, and pattern shops.
Key features of the Q-Series include:
- Single 5′ x 12′ Table
- 40″ Z-Stroke
- Standard spindle speed of 12hp with the option of a 17hp or 24hp spindle
- Heavy-duty thick steel construction which provides the rigidity for precision cutting.
- Standard 10- or 12-pocket automatic tool changer with optional second ATC.
- Full Enclosure
The full enclosure contains debris and isolates the operator from the machining zone and airborne particles. The side panels are removable to accommodate oversized parts. - Optional Chip Pans
Reducing airborne particles, these pans collect chips and dust underneath the table. The ports on the back of the machine hook up to a dust collection system. - Optional Bellow Roofing System
Covers the top section of the machining center to contain debris from the cutting process. It can retract to give you unobstructed access to a forklift or overhead crane and it can adjust with the movement of the Q-Series’ gantry. - Optional Central Partition
With the partition in place, the Q-Series is split into two separate zones, so you can safely load/unload parts in the unused zone. Pivot the partition against the wall and the machine resumes operation across the entire table. - Optional Automatic Doors
These doors are servo activated. For safety purposes, the machine is placed in a feed hold state if the doors are not properly closed. - Comes standard with 2 vacuum zones as well as supports mechanical fixturing.
- FANUC® latest generation of controls provides:
-
- Plenty of speed for high-speed cutting.
