C.R. Onsrud – American Made Industrial CNC Machines

The Machine Capacity to Shape Your Largest, Boldest Projects

Lr Series Siloed 3 4 Angle

Featured at CAMX 2026 (Booth V54) is the C.R. Onsrud large-format, 5-Axis LR-Series. With a work area up to 92' (length), 20' (width), and 10' (height), this industrial, American-made CNC machine provides the capacity for sizable, bulky, and uniquely shaped projects.

The 5-axis spindle head enables intricate, accurate processing of foam, carbon fiber, other advanced composites, and nonferrous metals, all in a single setup to reduce lead and production times. Operations are streamlined, eliminating the manual steps involved with assembling multi-part components and achieving surface finishes that require little to no sanding and fairing.

We took “size limitations” to mean “size suggestions.”

The LR-Series gives manufacturers the capacity to easily expand, modernize, or customize existing product lines or launch new ones.

It easily accommodates components for the marine industry, including full boat hulls, decks, and console molds.

For the aerospace and defense industry, it is sized to handle UAV fuselages, fairings, and other large components.

It’s also perfect for manufacturers who design construction elements, such as architectural façades, ceiling systems, and structural frames.

Custom Built

The LR-Series is a highly customizable CNC machine, proudly manufactured in Troutman, NC. Customers work with our technical engineering experts, discussing their current workflow and production goals. Then our Onsrud team configures the LR-Series with the exact options needed to meet, if not exceed, these goals and to ensure the machine accurately handles the requirements of the specific application.

Its modular architecture is designed to fit the production floor and unique application needs. The machine’s length (X) is available in 6′ modular sections from 14′  to 92′+, with widths (Y) ranging from 8′ to 20′, and Z-strokes of 77″, 96″, or 120″. This flexibility ensures that operations can scale to meet the demands of even the most oversized projects, turning the biggest production dreams into reality.

See it in action?

Far too large to demonstrate at one of the many shows the Onsrud team attends, a to-scale model will be on display (e.g., at CAMX and IBEX). We encourage those interested to contact our company for a tour as one may be making its way through our production line: sales@cronsrud.com. The LR-Series—and all are other machines—are built from Fabrication through Final Assembly at our factory. Touring our facility enables you to see firsthand our build process and what sets Onsrud apart.
