C.R. Onsrud, IMA Schelling, and Barbaric offer a variety of material-handling and automation solutions: from a small system, which loads from a single bunk to massive material storage and retrieval systems that can pull different sheets from your inventory and place them into the processing area, individually stacking cut parts right out of the nest with no human intervention.
The Barbaric LCV loader handles a variety of materials and sizes, from 2′ x 7′ up to 7′ x 13 ½′ weighing as much as 440 lbs.
An optional prestage table creates a buffer between the end-of-cut cycle and the loading process, so your machine is not waiting on the loading system. This also allows for prelabeling (while the machine is cutting) as well as stacked sheet loading for stack cutting.
From the optional offload table, the Barbaric NST nesting picker automatically offloads individual machine parts and places them on pallets or on a conveyor to be taken to another process, such as edge banding. The Barbaric NST system is capable of lifting parts from 3″ x 12″ to 51″ x 110″ weighing up to 132 lbs. Using a nest dxf file and camera, the Barbaric NST can recognize parts, even if they’ve shifted, and can upload up to 7 parts/minute.
Once all the parts have been offloaded, any remaining scrap or debris is pushed off into a bin or hopper.
The C.R. Onsrud RH-Series Router provides maximum speed and output when cutting and drilling large quantities of components from raw sheet goods, including single sheets, stacked sheets, or parts with a surface area too small to be held with vacuum alone.
Key features of the RH-Series include:
- Single 4′ x 8′ to 6′ x 12′ Table
- 11″ Z-Stroke (standard)
- Standard spindle speed of 12hp with the option of a second spindle.
- Four spindle drill block for fast, efficient drilling.
- C.R. Onsrud Roller Hold-down System
This system holds down warped or stacked materials on the table while cutting. It is very popular in the upholstered furniture and other industries that work with warped plywood. It is also used in high-volume, repetitive production environments, where the same parts, same nests, are run, stacking sheets for cutting to get more parts per cycle for even higher volume.
The four rollers (two retractable pairs positioned on the leading and trailing edges of the cutting envelope) provide even, balanced downward pressure, helping to prevent accidental slippage of the top sheet of stacked material while cutting. The regulated pressure of each roller provides maximum holding efficiency, without premature wear or “slamming” of the rollers into the table or material. When cutting single sheets, or other materials such as plastics or aluminum, the rollers can be disengaged so that only the high-flow vacuum is holding the material.
- Pusher/Sweeper System
This integrated system cleans and clears the cutting table in preparation for the next sheet. During the sweep cycle, the cut nest is pushed off onto the offload table.
- Heavy-duty thick steel construction.
- Standard 12-pocket rotary automatic tool changer. (More options available).
