AUTOMATION

FULL MATERIAL-HANDLING CAPABILITIES

T Series Automation

T-SERIES – configured for fast panel processing applications.

Onsrud offers flexibility in material handling to fit the flow of your production. With customized solutions, both linear and cell-based, you get as much or as little automation as you need, from simple loading/offloading with or without pre-labeling to fully automated material storage and retrieval systems with integrated routers and saws. Let our automation experts help keep your business agile and on the cutting edge in an ever-changing market.

INFEED SYSTEMS

Let our integrated automated material-handling infeed systems do the heavy lifting (literally!). You can stage and load materials onto the machine bed, even if you’re a solo operator.

Static Pre-Stage Table with Pusher

STATIC PRE-STAGE TABLE WITH OR WITHOUT PUSHER

Automatically reloads the scissor lift with another bunk of material prior to the first bunk running out. Since your material load is always stocked, you never have to synchronize your forklift timing or stop production.

F146S12-Rear-Loader

REAR LOADER

The rear loader uses vacuum to lift material from the back of the CNC machining table enabling an operator to safely and automatically load heavy materials.

Automation Vacuum Lift

REAR GANTRY INFEED (SUCTION)

Using suction technology, the vacuum lift is a portable system that enables a single operator to safely and automatically load heavy materials.

Scissor Lift Single Option Hero

SCISSOR LIFT (HALF BUNK LOADER)

With a half bunk loader (a.k.a. “scissor lift”) system, your machine picks up one sheet from a stack, places it into position, and then adjusts its height to prepare for the next sheet.

Scissor Lift Single Option Hero

SCISSOR LIFT (FULL BUNK LOADER)

With a full bunk loader (a.k.a. “scissor lift”) system, your machine picks up one sheet from a full stack, places it into position, and then adjusts its height to prepare for the next sheet.

SIDE LOADER

The side loader uses vacuum to lift material from the side of the CNC machining table enabling an operator to safely and automatically load heavy materials.

OUTFEED SYSTEMS

Our automated material-handling outfeed systems keep your machine actively cutting materials without interruption. Integrated with our industrial CNC machinery, your products come off the machine immediately ready to be delivered.

PUSHER SWEEPER

The pusher automatically clears the machining area by moving parts to an offload table while the sweeper sucks up any additional dust and debris.

See pusher sweeper vs. manual offload system time trial.

STATIC OUTFEED

A static outfeed table provides a work area for sorting and stacking parts without interrupting the machining operations.

CONVEYOR OUTFEED

Safely and automatically moves parts (e.g., heavy and bulky ones) down your machine’s production line for easy off-loading.

LABELING SYSTEMS

If you are spending time manually sorting through parts, affixing labels, or writing on your products with markers, our automated labeling systems can save time, eliminate errors, and improve productivity.

PRE-LABELING SYSTEM

Pre- or post-affix removable labels to parts for tracking, identification, or to provide descriptive details. (Most common for cabinets and sheet goods).

Automation-labeler-web

PART MARKING - INK

Applies marks (e.g., alpha-numeric), without contact, for part tracking. Marks can be permanent or removed based on how porous the material is.

PART MARKING - PAINT

Applies one or multiple colored paint for layout lines and shapes/symbols needed downstream (e.g., hot/cold water lines, nail locations, wiring, etc.) (Commonly used in the prefab home industry).

STANDALONE LABEL PRINTER

This auxiliary equipment can create and affix labels to parts for tracking and identifying parts for use in downstream operations or at the job site.

AUTOMATION DEVICES

Your manufacturing operation can operate more quickly and smoothly by incorporating automated devices into your production line.

BARCODE SCANNER

Scan a barcode (machine-readable data) from a document and the machine automatically retrieves the specified program, tooling list, and set-up directions for that job.

THIRD-PARTY PARTNERSHIPS

Our goal is to provide you with the very best solution for your production that is Industry 4.0-ready to maximize your productivity, efficiency, and profitability. So, if we don’t have it, our integration partners will. Here are a few systems to consider from IMA Shelling and Barbaric:

MATERIAL STORAGE & RETRIEVAL

Storage and retrieval systems are hands-free material-handling devices that can manage small stacks to hundreds of high-mix materials across a warehouse. These systems can also organize rainbow stacks to match the order of the programs you’re running.

NST OFFLOADER

The NST Offloader uses a vision system to automatically remove cut parts and transfer materials for processing downstream.

ROBOT

Programmed to perform repetitive tasks (e.g., picking parts, removing scrap, etc.), robots can support “lights-out” production.

Automation Robotics

ROBOTICS INTEGRATION

Devices are strategically incorporated into your production to automatically perform repetitive tasks, so you and your team can focus on projects that grow your business.

In-Line

Solutions

With our user-friendly in-line automation systems, your machining operations run smoothly from start to finish. Effectively integrated into your workflow, you’ll get the maximum efficiency from your CNC machine to maximize your investment.

COMPACT

Solutions

Condensed linear and cell-based automation systems offer time-saving efficiency. Operations occur simultaneously and continuously. The steady pace makes it easy to predetermine part counts and predict margins. Combine these with Osync™ Machine Analytics to take further control of the cost-effectiveness of your operation.

Balanced

Integration

We design automation solutions that are balanced for optimized efficiency and maximized profits. Automation systems need to keep your production flowing. Speeding up some operations only to create bottlenecks downstream or finding machines sitting idle waiting on another doesn’t help your production line or your bottom line.
